Chinze Anthony –Ojobo

Chinze (in Igbo language meaning God ‘shelters’) has a vision to change the world by speaking peace and comfort through her artistic expressions.

She is a multitalented creative artist from the South Eastern part of Nigeria (the Igbo tribe) with a degree in Fine and Applied Arts from a first generation tertiary Institution, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), where she graduated in 1985 specializing in Painting. Chinze had been admitted into the University to study Sciences but switched over to Arts after her first year. She started expressing herself through art from the age of 3, playing with clay, plastercine and crayons doing little “sculptures” and “drawings”.

Currently she specializes in painting with acrylic on jute, (sack ) canvas, and velour paper. She expresses herself on wood and metal making two and three dimensional sculptures. Chinze also delves into other creative fields like interior and fashion designing as well as making jewelry wrought iron and wooden furniture.
